BOOKKEEPING TO TRIAL BALANCE FOUNDATION COURSE
The Bookkeeping to Trial Balance Course has been designed for persons with limited training and experience in the practice of Bookkeeping. Using a step-by-step method, trainees are taught how to keep a complete set of books starting with the writing up of the prime books, proceeding to the Trial Balance level of competency.
Aligned to FASSET Unit Standards 12988, 12989 and 12990.

COURSE CONTENT:
- Cash Books, Cash Flow Analysis and Banking Issues.
- Credit Sales, Credit Purchases and Petty Cash.
- General Ledger, General Journal and Trial Balances.
- Interim Financial Reports.
- Debtors and Creditors Ledgers.
- Vat Reconciliations and Returns.

COURSE DURATION
13 three hour sessions.
COURSE VENUES:
- Saturday mornings – Rhodes High School, Little Mowbray from 09h00 to 12h00.
- Monday and Thursday Mornings – 37 Main Road, Mowbray from 09h00 to 12h00.
- Tuesday evenings – The Church of Christ, corner of Lourensford Road and Irene Avenue, Somerset West from 18h00 to 21h00.
TRAINEE EVALUATION
Trainee evaluation will consist of written assessments and audits of the books of accounts kept while attending the programme.
CERTIFICATION
Trainees who complete the course successfully will be awarded a certificate of competence.
